This is an oceanside multi-level deck we built a couple of years ago.It’s constructed of all composite materials to stand up to the harsh environment of the shoreline. We used all stainless steel fasteners and structural components and a stainless steel cable rail system so as not to obstruct the view. The columns used are structural and within their center, contain a steel cable attached to the frame above to hold the deck down in the event of high winds. In the upper corner of the deck a window was removed, and a door added, to provide entry and exit to the kitchen.
