Welcome to Waitkus Construction Company! My name is Mark Waitkus, owner of Waitkus Construction Co. I have been in business for over 40 years and have successfully completed hundreds of construction projects throughout my career. My grandfather was a carpenter, and at a very young age I was building things in his garage. Not very good things, but it was a start. I still maintain and use some of his tools today. My other grandfather was a blacksmith. So I guess it’s in my blood I was destined to be creative and work with my hands. I started out as a furniture maker, but quickly realized that I could be just as creative, only on a larger scale, building homes. In addition, I could incorporate my woodworking skills into the homes that I built and I have always enjoyed working with the customer to help bring their dream home to reality.
Whether it’s four, framed walls to start a new project, stacking the logs of a new log home, installing a raised panel fireplace mantel or hand cutting a mortise and tenon joint for a custom cabinet, there is a great deal of satisfaction in standing back at the end if the day to see what you’ve created. To see the delight of a happy homeowner is an added bonus that never gets old.
Over the past 40+ years we have averaged between four to six custom and semi-custom homes per year along with numerous custom home additions and remodels each year, as well as an occasional commercial job. We also offer custom cabinetry and cabinet making along with custom woodworking we create in our own wood shop.
