This is a log cabin we built in Bretton Woods, NHin 2016. It’s a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a sleeping loft that has a built in queen size bed and sleeping cubbies for the kids. On the interior we installed hand scraped, aged hickory hardwood floors and lighter finished hickory kitchen cabinets. In the loft we made a heavy duty fir ladder and tapered it to simulate the taper of a tree. As a surprise to the owners we inlaid a couple of bears along with bear tracks. To go with the bear theme we hand cut bears out of the hickory flooring to make the heat system floor registers. On the exterior we built a wrap around deck with drawknifed, rustic cedar railings.
